Irving Goldberg & Sons lost part of their late summer grape crop due to the strike that started in late September and in exchange of getting workers returning to harvest the fall crop Goldber agreed to the elections. United Farm Workers Organizing Committee (UFWOC) organizers Roberto Bustos and Pete Cárdenas led the election campaign and out of the 377 ballots cast, 285 voted for the UFWOC. The election led to signed contract.
