About 130 marchers left Porterville walking along State Highway 65 towards Lindsay, 12 miles north. After a stop in Strathmore, they reached Lindsay, where local farmworkers and a mariachi band welcomed them. The marchers stopped at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for dinner and a rally.
